Kimball's Birthday

Kimball is 3!!! We had a little birthday party for him at the park with some of his friends from church and the neighborhood. He was really excited about his Scooby Doo party and that we had ice cream cone cupcakes. It was a pretty windy day, so we thought it would be good for kite flying with the kids. Unfortunatley our little Spider Man kite broke on the first take off. Bummer. The kids had more fun wearing the kite tails than anything. When it came time to eat the cupcakes, one of little girls was pretty upset when she realized that there wasn't any ice cream inside and it was just a cupcake. A couple of Kimball's little guy friends couldn't make it so there were 5 girls and only 1 little boy there. Kimball was loving it.

Pacifier?

Yesterday Kimball and I were playing in the living room when sweet, little Kate came crawling around the corner with an empty Tylenol bottle in her mouth like it was her pacifier. We thought it was funny because she continued to suck on it for about ten minutes, without missing a beat.

Fresno Trip

We got to make a last minute weekend trip to Fresno for a friends wedding and had a great time with the fam. Kimball can never get enough of his cousins Tanner and Carsen. He also loved seeing his "Aunt Becca", sorry Shelly, Uncle Jeremy, and Grandma and Grandpa Batch.

Here are the boys as they were getting ready to cross the street to feed the ducks at the park. They are all such boys. When we made it over to feeding the ducks, they all started chasing the ducks until every single one of them was back in the water. They found that using a sticks and growling were most effective! Aren't they so cute!

School Days

We have so much fun meeting Cort at school before he has to go to class. We usually play football, or baseball and just hang out with dad while he eats dinner. Kimball loves this time he gets to run around and be with daddy.

New Exciting Things

Kate is getting so big. This is how we find her now, standing up in her crib, usually with a big grin. Now that she is mobile she doesn't like to sit still for a minute. Her latest trick besides standing up in her crib is clapping, she's so cute.

Kate love's to ride on this little car, and Kimball enjoys navigating their trips around the house.

This is not just a picture of Kimball's eyeball, though it can't really be seen, his eye is actually stuck like this due to a lovely piece of gum that daddy gave him. He came out of his room at nap time very concerned about not being able to blink. We had to remind him that you don't chew gum with your eyes.

Sledding Fun

We took our first sledding trip with the kids. We had a lot of fun and we found out how much of a dare devil Kimball really is. He was bombing these hills all by himself in the sled. He couldn't get enough of it. I was always standing at the bottom of the hill, heart racing, as my not so little 2 1/2 year old was racing the grown men. He is such a crack up. Kate also enjoyed riding in the sled. The kids had so much fun that everyday Kimball asks me to pull them around the house in the sled.

Christmas

We had a great Christmas. We were able to see a lot of friends and all of our family that lives in California.

We got to see my Grandma Mary and she looked great for her age, we sure do love her.

Our Uncle Lou

Kimball still doesn't completely understand the whole Christmas thing. He was much more intent with handing out presents then actually opening his own. It was very cute, but he loved the presents he received.Kate was just cute, and that about sums it up. The kids sure do love their Grandma and Grandpa Bacigalupi, we had a great Christmas with them.

Playground fun

Cort insisted that I put this video on here. He dies laughing every time he sees it. I think it is so sad, but I must admit I do giggle a little. Poor little Kimball.

Gingerbread House

Kimball has been so excited about Christmas. He loves all of the Christmas trees and lights. I always catch him playing and re-arranging my nativities. We bought a gingerbread house kit from costco and just about made Kimball's year. He couldn't wait to get it home, he kept trying to open it at the store and he insisted on carrying it from the car to the house. We all had fun putting it together, but Kimball got a little out of control on the decorations. What didn't get put in his mouth made it onto every bit of icing we put on the house. It looks a little sad, but Kimball was so proud of it. We ended up having to put it on top of the fridge because the house mysteriously started to become more sparse. A gum ball missing here a sidewalk missing there, you know how it goes.

Spider man

Kimball got some cool new Spider man pajama's and he loves them. He asks to wear them every night. He is so funny, we always catch him standing on his stool looking at himself in the mirror when he has them on. He has his own little imaginary spider man fights while standing in front of the mirror. They usually involve the lion and tiger you see in his hands. He has a great imagination. Oh ya, there is a random, cute picture of Kate in there holding on of Kimball's fierce lions.
