Thanksgiving fun

We had another great Thanksgiving in St. George this year.It was a lot of fun and I am pretty sure that Cort is now officially hooked on The Unit, thanks Dennis. I wish I had gotten some pictures of the guys playing a little touch football with a bunch of teenagers at a park. Trust me, I am pretty sure the older guys thought it was the super bowl.

Kate has just been getting way to big too fast. She is such a little fire cracker. She is very independent and loves doing everything that Kimball does. This little miss has the most ear piercing scream you will ever hear, and thinks she runs our little family. I mean who doesn't enjoy being woken up at 5 every morning to a cute voice yelling MAMA, MAMA, MAMA, until someone comes to get her. Once she is awake, so is everyone else in the house, she is not yet capable of making her voice quiet. We love Kate and her wiggly buns, sassy and sweet personality, and her cute little face.

Halloween madness

Halloween day was a very long one for us. Kimball had a doctor's appt.in the morning followed by a party at his school. After some short naps we headed to downtown Redlands for some "safe" trick-or-treating. It was fun but pretty busy. Next we ran home made some side dishes for dinner at a friends house. After dinner we got the kids ready once again in costume for more trick-or-treating. All-in-all it was a really fun day and night.The kids had a blast. Kate's way of getting candy was to just give a cute stare with hand extended to those who were handing out candy. I will have you know she made out better than Kimball did in the candy department. By the end of the night she was practically dragging her bucket. She would not let us hold it, trust me we tried. She insisted on carrying it like a purse in the crease of her arm. Kimball and his friend Phoenix sprinted door to door screaming trick-or-treat before ever knocking on the door. It was very cute. The little boys would give each other high fives at each door because they had run so fast.

This is the best picture we could get of the kids. I swear they have some way of knowing right before the camera is going to go off and they turn their little heads.


After a long day of candy binging Kate went to sleep, the boys watched a movie and the adults got to play games.

Kimball and Kate at his school party. Kate really liked to sit at the table with the big kids. She is a quick one though. Notice the sucker in one of her hands. The little girl next to her took her eyes off of it for two seconds. All I have to say is, "you snooze, you loose sister."

Operation

Kimball informed me that Kitty had been stepped on and squished and that he needed to preform an operation to fix him. I handed the tools (literally screwdrivers, hammers and such)to Dr. Kimball as he carefully "fixed" Kitty. I am happy to say Kitty made it through the surgery, he is now just taking lots of naps and staying out of the way of peoples feet.

Halloween at Disneyland

This is not a great picture, but it is pumpkin heads of Goofy and Mickey Mouse. I should have gotten pictures of everything else. They have everything decorated really cute. We had a fun afternoon there on Thursday.

Kimball wears his costume everyday! I have already had to sew it up in a few places. Here is one cute boy eating a pumpkin cookie he made and decorated. We love the fall!

Kimball's first day of Preschool

Kimball started going to a preschool class two weeks ago. He only goes one day a week for three hours, but I miss him when he's gone. I keep telling him to stop getting bigger, but the response I get is "I am getting bigger", followed by the flexing of some pretty huge muscles. When I picked him up from school last week I asked him if he had eaten all of his lunch. His reply was, "No, but one boy got a soda in his lunch. What a lucky boy!" I couldn't help but giggle and agree with him. I started to think about the days at lunch when the trading of lunch items began for the stuff your mom would never buy. I was always the kid with nothing good to trade, apples, carrots, squished pb&j, and real fruit juice weren't hot items.

St. George

We made a quick trip to St. George to visit with Grandma and Grandpa. It was a lot of fun and the weather was awesome. The kids (I should say Kimball being as he is the only one we can understand) are really wanting to go back and play. It was very relaxing.

We lucked out and got to see a desert tortoise cruising around. It kind of looks like a rock, but it is right above Kimball's head. Kimball really wanted to pick it up and give it a hug, such a sweet little guy. He is going through a step on and kill things stage, so this was reassuring.

Yes, this is how we found her while we were in the garage doing other things. She is drinking out of the dogs water nozzle. A quick learner this one. There was a lot of teeth brushing after this.

This picture cracks me up because nobody was quite sure how Kate ended up on laying down like this in the dirt. My mom thought she was tired and laid down, but I am pretty sure this was an accident. The face is not too happy.

Finally an update

Now that we have settled in a little bit and are done traveling for the time being I am able to put up a new post. There are an array of pictures here from our recent happenings and they should suffice for now. Enjoy!!
